Fuel tank and sending unit questions?

Fuel tank and sending unit questions?
1975 F250 Camper Special, Super Cab, 2WD, 460, A/T, two fuel tanks - foward tank (long one) mounted inside frame rails w/filler neck on quarter panel in front of rear wheel, rear tank mounted between frame rails behind rear axle - kind of square in shape w/filler neck behind rear wheel.
They are either 19 or 20 gallon tanks. I never seem to get more than 19 gallons in each one; however I am not sure that I trust the gas station pumps to determine how many gallons they are.
So, questions are:
1) How can I determine the actual size of each fuel tank on my truck?
2) One of the replacement tanks on the Napa website for the forward mounted one says it is for a standard cab. Is that ONLY going to fit a standard cab or does it also fit the super cab?
3) Napa sells the Spectra tanks - any feedback - good or bad on these?
4) When replacing seding units, do they need to be calibrated? If so, what is involved in doing this?
Thanks.

have a 78 F150 dual tanks / front is main and rear is reserve. just rebuilt the back tank with all new parts and hose. from dry to full it took 18.3 gallons . the parts were ordered from LMC . get their catalog -shows standard tank size and others. Did not have to adjust the sending unit for the tank . parts were remove and replace. I chose to replace the tank selector valve also since all was original / fix once and done.
ps. get all of the old filter sock out of tank - goes on fuel sending unit new one will have

I'm in the process of replacing both fuel tanks in my 74 standard cab. Both side mount and rear mount are 19 gallon, but in all my research I've repeatedly seen the side mount replacement tanks do not fit the supercab. But I've never seen any info on why or what should be used for a side mount in the supercab.
I was looking for a plastic tank replacement so I was checking out MTSCompany and Broncograveyard. Might be worth giving a call to get the deets on the supercab disclaimer. Sorry I can't be more help.
*edit* I see its just the plastic ones that have the disclaimer. Not sure what would be different about the steel ones design, but still maybe worth a call to Broncograveyard or someone like that to verify. Broncograveyard has both plastic and steel ones.

my SC just had the rear tank. It was 19 gallons, as are all the rear tanks for the wider frame width trucks, to my knowledge. Only one of my trucks had a side tank and it was rusted to ****, but from what I can tell, the plastic tank off my brother 1990's F350 would have fit right in there. Might have had to do some work on mounting it.
I put a new plastic rear tank in my F150 and I love it. Its way sturdier than the original steel ones... you could stand on it without breaking it, and no more rust. My truck had sat for a while and I was plugging up fuel filters every time the tank got low, and then eventually I sprung a leak in my tank, so I consider replacing the fuel tank to be a very worthwhile upgrade.
Another option would be just to replace the rear tank with one of the 38 gallon ones. They make specific replacement ones (you lose your spare, though most of us don't have spares under there anymore anyway), or the bronco ones will fit if you are willing to fab some straps or new mounts. Then you wouldn't have to mess with having two fuel doors or the problematic tank switch.
