so... the 2000 f350 imma b adding to the fleet is sitting right at about 300k, buying it from family so im getting her for a great deal. still going to do everything i can to offset the cost of feeding her.
just wanna get some ideas from others that are kind of local-ish so i know a little more what to expect about sourcing and issues that may arise, warning signs, and what extra preventative maintenance may be involved for our trucks .
im leaning towards building a multi-tank system in the bed in addition to factory diesel. probably will go with 2 or 3 chamber system so i can keep options open, one for wvo, one for wmo, and maybe another for atf? i am also hip deep in a centrifuge build out of a 55 gal plastic drum, an air conditioner fan motor(outside unit) and so far just an old freon tank i welded to the shaft of the motor... then have a hole cut in the bottom of the tank... which physically now the top... for the cleaned oil to spray... but it has proven impossibly difficult to stabilize and balance so i need to make modifications ... probably a flywheel to start with between the tank and motor shaft. if that fails... i will b locating a used torque converter to slice apart
got a 3 or 4 55gal drum settling/filtration system going too for all that fun stuff... and still dunno what i wanna do for storage of clean fuel...
how about yous guys?
xtof
