It is always funny to see the "I wish something else was this big" clevis on a pickup!

I have a combo WARN shackle/insert for the hitch receiver like this
one . I didnt buy it from this place, just found it on the net.
I use it mainly in the winter when pulling someone out of the ditch with the strap.

Found the clevis on kijiji for $50. Welded a pipe on 2.5" tubing. The clevis is 12" long and 9" wide.

i can't see having it in there all the time, but if you are using a wider strap you need it, and it is much safer than using the ball hitch. since I have the warn in front that gives me another option, but if I was to try to tow someone home this would be good

I just use a regular receiver without a ball installed. I run a clevis through the hole in the receiver that normally would have a ball inserted. Works fine.
