Truck wont go over 2,500 RPM? Need help!
Well i was driving home after disconnecting my trailer, on the highway a few minutes away from my house i noticed the truck started to feel like a sputter/jerking feel. The more i pressed on the accelerator the more i felt it. I soon realized it would not let me go over 65mph. Now i got very worried, lots of thoughts went threw my head such as, i wonder when it will die on me? or when will i get a check engine light on? Even worse my truck is used daily for my auto transport business, and without my truck i make no money. Pulling into my community, from a stop sign when i started to accelerate, i felt the same sort of sputter/jerking feel. I finally made it home, left the truck running and looked underneath, and under the hood, of course i did not see anything unusual. I reved up the engine while in park and realized as it got close to 2,500 RPM it would do what happened while i was driving, it would kind of choke/sputter and would not allow me to rev it over 2,500 at all. I should mention i have the spartan 210 tune always on. I shut the truck, checked for codes with the dashdaq, found none. I still have no check engine light or anything. I then started the truck, and went for another drive on the highway, it now was perfect, i did a few WOT runs and got up to 90mph. (most i ever went with this truck). I got back on my driveway, tried reving it up and it now was fine and went over 3,000 RPM just fine. So now i am concerned, i just do not know how serious this is, or what it is, my thought was a fuel pump? or EGR issue? but i would have thought i would have got a check engine light or code? and how would it drive just fine after a restart? I am just so worried because i had a few jobs to do this weekend, and i need the truck and cannot get stuck over this. I tow over 20k lbs every day and am now quite worried. I just wanna know what can cause this to have not let me go over 2,500 RPM, keep in my my F450 has the 4:88 rear end, so on the highway it is at a higher RPM and this is why it really did not allow me to go over 65MPH. Now its ok, but again, i only drove it once since, so i am not sure if this will happen again or not...
Any help or thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks!

Thanks... Yes, it seated properly. The first time i took it apart i re used the old gasket and fuel was leaking very bad. I bought a new gasket and it all went well and seated just perfect.

Well, today i was towing 4 cars, and i got the same problem! could not go over 2,500 RPM! I finally got it to my destination. Dropped off the cars, restarted the truck and it was ok. On my way back to my trailer storage lot, i noticed a check engine light! I read the codes seems like just 2 of them P0087 and P0058 fuel rail pressure to high, then fuel rail pressure to low. I was on mostly streets so it was hard to feel the issue, but every so often you can feel a slight loss of power, but it comes back. Also, at idle, i think it sounds different. At one point my FRP PSI was over 6k at idle... What are your thoughts? is this an injector issue? and should i take my spartan off before i go to the dealer?

Ahh there you are! I was wondering when you would see this thread. If i put the truck back to stock and put the stock tune that will clear my check engine light correct? I wanted them to see it. Because i am not sure how quck it would come back on
