99 f150 5.4l spark plug problem

I know these motors have problems with the plugs blowing out, or at least the new ones do. on #3 plug i cant get to socket to go down on it. i managed to get a light and mirror in the right angle so i could see down in there. i see something down in there either wedged between the plug and wall but cant seem to get it out. ive tried my air gun and soaking it in carb cleaner but nothing. im starting to think that dark gray piece of something down in there is the previous owners ******* fix of JB weld. is there anything out there that will disolve this so i can get that plug out? i really dont want to have to remove the head. this is my daily driver and cant go without this vehicle. any ideas?

As an epoxy, JB Weld is strong, but brittle. A long thin punch, or a screwdriver with a 1/4" or narrower blade and a hammer should brittle it away. As you already have imagined, you may not like what you find underneath.

i understand that but have you ever worked on the #3 or #4 on a 99? its right under the firewall/dash lip. no way you would be able to hit it with a hammer. tried with my hand already but no luck.

Are you sure it's not a pebble or something jammed between the plug and head? If someone has put JB weld on the plug threads they would still have a socket on the plug to put it in.I have had to use an o-ring pic to pull on debris and compressed air to clean these holes out.
