My daughter was going to be out of town for a week so I took her Bronco to a repair shop to have some noises checked out. The report said the spyder and side gears were worn, and carrier adjustment shim is worn into right side carrier cap and housing, and shim is loose due to wear. The shop suggested a new axle housing. Is this anything that can be welded? If not, what other years are compatible?
