question about extended warranty

Does anyone have an idea how much an extended warranty for a 2012 EB runs, and is there a dealer that gives a pretty good price on it? Thanks in advance, Mike

Try this link Mike.

The Ford ESP is the most recommended protection plan that I can think of. If you feel that you need the protection, you can purchase the warranty up to the 3 year or 35,999 mile point, IIRC.

Remember, the drive train has a 5 year 60K warranty from the factory. Additional coverage may not be worth the cost, it depends on your situation.

Thanks Tim, I remember when I bought a 2008 sd someone from the forum recommended a dealer that sold the ford plan alot cheaper than my local dealer. I ended up buying it, sold the truck 2 yrs later and got a full refund. I hope I never have to use it, but with the new EB, I'm just hedging my bets. The problem is that I can't remember the name of the dealer, I think they were from new england, maybe Mass.

Send BigKen a PM as he's a salesmen in Mass somewhere. He's very active on FTE and a well respected member. I'm confident that he can at least give you best information.

just picked up wifes 2012 Platinum F150 yesterday. The price on the Premium warranty was $1853.00 for 5yr/100,000 miles. They also have some new warranty for 499.00, that the salesman threw in for free, that covers all external/internal cosmetic damage. Covers bug damage, any corrosion issues, spills on the interior. Did'nt cover rock damage, but with a painted front bumper if i get a rock chip I told him i would just smash a bug into it & have it covered.

Bought an F150 with Eco B last week and the dealership threw in a lifetime extended power train warranty at no cost. Lifetime ie as long as I own the truck - includes fuel pumps, water pumps etc.................
you must get this policy when the truck is new.
