fault codes

I put the Edge Evolution CTS in my 03 and it keeps throwing 2 codes that I can't figure out. The first is P0306 which is something about a virtual memory fault. The second is U0306 which says ficm software incompatible. I just got the ficm rebuilt by ed up at ficmrepair.com and it was throwing those before I sent it out. Any ideas guys?

Sounds like the FICM flash doesn't match the PCM flash.

So I'm guessing I'll have to go the dealership to fix that...something tells me that won't be cheap...

You will yes.

Last I had it done it was $120 to flash it all.

P0306 is a cylinder misfire due to loss of compression according to the code list. Similar to a contribution/balance code. This code I would worry about.

U0306 is nothing to really worry about. It just means the PCM and FICM weren't flashed together.

Oops I'm slightly below average intelligence because I can't read the code right. lol It was actually P0603 NOT P0306. I think that was caused by my batteries being crappy and should clear itself after 40 no fault starts. Thanks guys

You'll be fine then. No codes to cause any concern.
