won't start ? no spark?

hi all ., 79 350 with a 400 . couple weeks ago my truck started randomly stalling on me ? tried to find a pattern of miles or time or outside air temp. etc . but before i could make anything of it , it wont start at all .! thought maybe a fuel issue b/c after it would stall it woud'nt start back up again for 10 to 15 min. but it would start on a dime and run fine for 5-10 miles then die again . like maybe it was'nt getting fuel or flooding out ? also it seemed to be more often as time went on from the first time that it happened . now like i said went out to start it and it cranks but won/t start tried starting fluid to at least get a pop, nothing? so i pulled a plug and cranked it , no spark? any ideas where to start or why it was randomly stalling ? thanks

Electronic ignition (brain box) is dead. Its the silver box with the big plug on the dvrs side of the inner fenderwell held on with 2 screws. Take it off and you can get it tested at a parts store, I always carry a spare in the tool box.

Or a coil?
