This part had me rolling -
"Please note that all sales are binding and final. Our cars are sold "as-is" with no warranty expressed or implied."
Heck, my used truck from the local stealership at least had a 30 day power-train warranty and my truck has rear view mirrors. For $199,000 I better have a warranty for the Cheby motor. Really, couldn't find a nice 460 Ford to put in it? Had to commit unspeakable horrors and put a Cheby in it? (That comment is not directed at those in real world that either had no choice, no budget for something different or had one sitting around)

They probably have that much in it. Does anybody actually ever get what they have in one? And spending that kind of money I wonder why, like teardropty, why didn't they put a Ford in it. I have an excuse - a Cheesy came in mine and I can't afford to change it out right now, but when you have a budget that they had, why?

Glad I could provide you a laugh. Truthfully, I respect anyone that works hard to make something special, whether it is a daily driver or a work of art like the truck mentioned here. The hard part for me is seeing something that someone put some much time into but needs so much out of it to break even or make a profit. That is why I believe our trucks MUST be a labor of love and sacrifice otherwise the true cost would overwhelm us. I remember my first restoration when the girlfriend asked me how much money I had into it. I lovely looked her in the eyes and lied. The truth would have caused problems and frankly I couldn't bear the thoughts of the true cost. We only begin to recoup our time and expenses by driving these old trucks down the road again. I always tell people my payback isn't having grown men pick over the minute details of a custom restoration job but seeing that 6 or 7 year old kid waving and smiling as I drive by in the old girl. That, my friends, is why I work on the truck.
