Roll down rear window

Has anybody even attempted this. I think it would be pretty cool and i want to try and get as much research done on this as possible before summer comes along. It would probably mean taking some area away from behind the seat but that's okay because with the gas tank gone from behind there we gain some room. Any thoughts/opinions would be appreciated.

That would be pretty cool.

I imagine a good bas to start would be ripping the crank for a rear window in a bronco or blazer out of the tailgate.

Not sure on the years for them but i know for sure an 82 blazer would have a crank that would be large enough to use.

Hey chevy parts can be put to better use.

Was just thinking the explorer sport tracks had a power rear window. My mothers truck had one and it was amazing and you could probably scrounge one up in a good sized strip yard.

I've seen it mentioned here but never seen one personally, there was an aftermarket accessory kit back in the 70's that converted the rear window to a roll down model.

I've thought of this idea before when I first got my truck and had my bronco beside it never did try it though lack of welder and figuring out how to seal the window from leaking were my issues

Heres a link to another forum talking about a bigfoot cruiser edition ford. It looks like they made em in the 80s and 90s but there is some talk on there that they came with window like what were talking about but they sound pretty rare and it may just be the ranger model that has it. Worth a look maybe?

Newer toyota trucks have the roll down rear window. Might be able to gather ideas or parts from them.

I would think that there is enough room behind the seat to do it. I would be worried about water. You would have to design so it won't rust or get water sitting in the cab.
