Butterfly Window

On my '97 F-250 drivers side door, the chrome latch used to open and close and latch has snapped off. They don't make these little triangular shaped windows anymore. Where can I buy a replacement latch. If I have to go to a junkyard how does it come apart?
Lately, I've been plagued with p.i.t.a repairs. Latest thing is the horn beeping on its own. Changed horn relay. Nope. Must be the push pad under the "FORD" emblem on steering wheel. No part store has it not Ford Dealer either.Just out of curiosity I visited the same dealer where I bought this truck 17 yrs. ago. I inquired about leasing a 2014 F-150 XLT loaded. After the sales Mgr. took my truck for a spin to come up with a trade in figure he basically talked me out of the new truck suggesting to spend 2 or 3 thousand $$ at a body shop and a new paint job. He said the 7.3L is the best diesel engine and it's not available anymore. That engine is used in much larger International Trucks and since its only got 175,000 mi on it it's just broken in and he said it will last another 17 yrs. Hell, I'm 64 I might not last another 17 yrs. Until I fix the broken horn I'm covered cuz theres a sticker on my tailgate that says "Horn broken watch for finger"

I think the only part that comes off is the latch handle itself. The part that it mounts to is part of the vent window frame.

Junkyard, or you can look here at LMC for the parts... 'bout halfway down the page.

If you do need to take it out, note that the track for the main window glass is part of the vent window assembly... I can pull one out in 5 minutes but it does take some careful maneuvering if you leave the side mirror on the door. Pull the door panel, remove the 2 screw from the top of the vent window plus the single bolt in the door, move the top of the vent window back (towards the bed), slide the main window glass out of the regulator arm, and remove it from the door. Now you can carefully wiggle that vent window out, but the side mirror mount makes this a bit tricky so if you want to remove it then it's 2 Torx screws on the outside, and one bolt on the inside.

As for the horn... pull the horn pad off (it really does just pull straight off) and perhaps you can see the problem. I want to say you can just bend the horn pad until it quits making contact without you pushing it.

Thanks for your suggestion. Re: horn. I took the cover off. Underneath there is a shaped piece of thin copper with 2 male connectors sticking up. Under that there is a shaped piece of foam and I'm sure there is another piece of shaped thin copper under that. I'm guessing that the foam piece acts like a spring.Pressing on the horn to make it beep, then removing your hand it stops. The foam pushing the copper pieces away from each other breaking the electrical contact. Is it probable that after 17 yrs. the foam has lost it's ability to decompress? If I could find some foam like material the same thickness I could remove the 4 screws, clean both surfaces of copper with emery cloth and replace the foam. Do you think I'd be wasting my time. I've Googled horn problems but most everyone recommends installing a push button horn kit from WOLO
