$1523??! Holy crap they saw you coming! Parts to completely rebuild an AOD are only $300 to $400. If there's ever another time you need another built, do it yourself! They are SUPER easy to reman, and even modify, yourself. Other than that, she's a good looking truck!!!

I want non electronic, other than lockup converter, theres supposed to be an upgrade to a hub to increase the clutch pack, I'd have to look it up again. I want to increase my mileage in my 73, without sacrifice to in town driving, tall gears are bad for the city, and mountains, I want 3.73/4.10 and over drive to make up for them.

Well as long as you're happy, sir! But personally, if I worked at/owned a trans shop, (which I hope to after graduating NADC) I'd probably only charge $700-$800 for an AOD. Plus, probably a little discount for FTE TN members!

The aftermarket loves the AOD, but I personally prefer Raybestos, where possible, for clutch packs.
