Yup, the metal frames are the same from 08-12 they are probably different for 13-16 with the new radio style.

Well unless someone has proven it can be done with reasonable effort Im gonna skip the 2013-16 dash.

Time to start looking for an 2008-12 dash and door panels.

If I could get leather seats would they bolt up as well? Mine are cloth.

Did you buy the dash with the entire instrument cluster attached?

seats from 99-16 all interchange between the same cab type for instance Crew cab seats will swap with each other and single cab seats will swap with the front Crew Cab seats however extended cabs are on their own which is where i have my problem because the extended cabs have integrated seat belts but the other cab styles dont. that changed in 08 and the belts went to the rear half doors again so 08-16 will all interchange but 99-07 all but ex cabs will interchange.

I did not I only bought the dash and trim pieces with no wiring.

True! We had a 7.3 dually at work with the half doors (extended cab?) and the front seats had the belts integrated into the seat.

So did you use the newer gauges or the old in your conversion? No way I wanna look at those old gauges if Im gonna swap the entire dashboard.

It will probably be cheaper for me to buy the entire dash with electronics, door panels, and even seats. Leather would be nice but I may have to go with what is available and maybe recover in leather after the fact.

I am currently using the old gauges, Zach figured out how to run the newer ones. Personally the way i figured out how to do it required ripping apart the old cluster and that is something i would rather not do. I personally liked the old gauges but hated the old dash and IMO it would be cool for people to look inside and see the old and new working together. But that is just me its all up to you, i reused all the 04 electronics and didn't get a single thing form the 08+ trucks to get it done.

The dash is my main goal once i move this summer so i will have it all wrapped up in a few weeks hopefully and ill have more answers about the gauge cluster and fuse panel if you have one like my 04 which is all under the steering column and not split between there and the engine bay.

Noted. Thanks Matt. Maybe Zach will DEVULGE his secrets and I will then happily share when Im in the heat of it.

In the meantime I started ordering parts for the front end conversion to 2011-2016.

Just an FYI for extended cab trucks....The earlier ones (99-?) did not have the belts integrated into the seats, they were attached to the roof via a drop down bar.
Integrated looks cleaner.
Its unfortunate that they are not all integrated.

If the belts are in the doors then you can use the 08+ rear door panels since Ford went back to that style of seat belt. even if not they fit as is there's some removing clips but i got mine to mount no problems and just need to get creative with the hole for belt.
