rear leaf spring.....help......

hey guys......i need to know where can i get a bolt and nut for the rear leaf springs that goes through the middle of the leafs and holds it together and the bolt head sits in the hole on the saddle. is there a name for that part? is there a web site that i can go to. the driver side bolt that goes through the middle of the leaf has broken and the rear end shifted back about 5 inchs. looks like the bolt head has sheared off.......please help. i need to get to work on monday.......thank you...................p.s........is there an alternative to using the bolt and nut too hold the leaf spring together. like a solid round bar the same size as the hole in the leaf spring or will it pop out over time?

Don't use a solid bar, the bolt is there to clamp the springs together. If you have that piece out of the spring pack already (even if it's just the head) you should be able to get a grade 8 bolt the same size that will do the trick for you. I would use grade 8 tho, it's an important bolt

Grade 8 bolt, clamp the spring pack together then grind for proper clearance if necessary.

X 2 on the spring center tie bolt from NAPA or other parts store.. It is made for this purpose ONLY and is tempered and shaped for the job, so no cutting or grinding needed...

If you ask for this and get a blank stare from the person behind the counter, just walk out and go to a real parts place!!!
