Well, I guess I am bolder than I thought cause I cut my dash. It helped having a parts truck that had a radio in it and seeing how it was done. Let me say one word, HOLESAW! The factory or dealer or whoever had installed the radio with a hole saw and a drill for the **** holes. They used the same size hole saw to make three holes in the top of the dash to let the sound come out from the spreaker. I used a combination of measurements from the radio/speaker and demensions from the parts truck holes. The most important was getting the proper size hole for the chrome bezel to fit into. There were not any double walls to worry about either. Sweet!

Steve, it's not any harder than punching a hole in a panel for a conduit and have it be where it should be. You could use a knock-out punch if you have the right size. I might have had I thought of it before!

Aww, shucks, you've inspired me and "spurredon" my confidence to try it - some day, if I ever get it repaired.

I pulled my radio when I pulled the heater box out. My brother works on X-Ray machines, I'm hoping he can get mine to work again. He's already tested the tubes, and they were good. So he's gonna try to work on the rest. I have an FM converter I had in my moms 76 Chevelle. It would be cool to have them both in the truck.
