Help

Hi

I purchased a 1998 ford f-150 4x4 4.6l v8 windsor. Approx 250000km. The person I bought it off of didn't know much about vehicles but supposedly the top end had been rebuilt recently. It started running rough so he sold it.

Driving the vehicle home I noticed the oil pressure was extremely low and it was knocking under load.

I can get another engine with 100000km on it but I was wondering what the issues could be? See if it is worth while to fix the engine already in it or just go with engine swap?

Ck it see what is doing first , does it have cel light on? Then hook a gauge to the oil pressure you may have a faulty gauge lol.
