That sounds like a pretty unique rig. Got any pictures

If it was me, Id just scrap that old international engine. Hard to sell that stuff. Wouldnt hurt to throw some parts on ebay though.. Free listing for the first 50 or so..

Thanks for the info, Gents! CJ06, I'll check it out.

RR. Does the .86 OD make much of a difference? I clicked on your avitar and followed the leads to your album. That '56 is awesome! Making a truck go better is one thing, but making it able to stop is all too often overlooked. Disc rear axle! My hat's off to ya on making a classic a truly capable truck

That's one thing that draws me toward that truck of my brother's. A one ton's brakes can do a better job than a 3/4's. I am currently running around in a '66 chevy on 4 drums. You can imagine the limitations on that, huh?

Rummer; I took this picture to show how hard it was storming one day. Pretty lame, it's the only one I know of. It's a '76. My bro couldn't get it past smog in Cal, sold it to me cheap, contingent on I can't sell it to anyone but him. Fair enough. He found that putting a later model diesel engine in it passes smog permanently. Bought it back, put in the 6BT. Now he wants to thin the herd, (yeah, I was just waiting for that!) and is selling it to me cheap again, but not as cheap as when on gas. I liked it enough when I had it with a 460, but then I drove it with the Cummins. I can't believe the power of these things!

I'll post some real pictures of it when I get it. Hopefully pretty soon. He lives about 150 miles on the other side of the Cascade mountains from me. He did a clean job of installing the 6. He also fabricated the flatbed, all steel. He's a highly skilled welder, and built the bed in a very well equipped shop. I guess I'm blabbing now, so I'll stop. Thanks again for all the input!

The .86 O.D. is about a 500rpm drop.
