Smile electric choke for a '78 F250?

The choke cap and thermostat on my 351 are dead. My original choke is the heat only one, instead of the electric assist. I have a Motorcraft 2150 2bbl carb with the number D7TECTA. I found a choke on the link below that says it will fit all carbs that have I.D. numbers starting with "D". It also says it will fit all Ford 6 and 8 cylinder motors from the 1960's to the 1980's. I'm also pretty sure that my choke's stove still works and is there, and just my cap is dead. (Is there a way I can test the stove?) So here's my question(s). Due to all the things I said above, will the new electric choke be a drop in replacement for my old choke or will it not fit? Also, does anyone know if the mounting screw holes on my carb will fit it, or are there different holes based on the carb I.D number? I'll see if i can take some pictures of the carb when I can open my frozen hood (stupid ice).

Here's a link to my other thread about this: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...a-78-ford.html

And here's the link to the choke I think will fit: Motorcraft 2150 Carburetor Electric Choke.

Thanks for any help, I'm really lost here.
