jaluhn,
I think F250 Restorer was at one time thinking about putting together a Gear Vendors overdrive for the C6 in his truck. Perhaps he will see this!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge [and for serving our great country - Navy]!

I grabbed the GV adapter this afternoon, so just PM me if you need it. Hate for someone to go looking and it not be there.

85 EFI harness
If you need the whole harness it is continuous with the dash harness. If you just need the EFI stuff, Archion may have an extra he will part with, I think he has 3 including the one on his truck. To my knowledge 85 and 86 EFI 5.0L are the same and all by themselves.

heres the issue i bought the truck for 650. the guy before me had a carbed 5.0 in it from a mustang. cam factory with efi. he put the efi back in but the wire harness under the hood looks like **** (eg. connectors broken and rigged with splices and half done connectors, and bare wires showing) a good example is the plug for the coil broke in half so the guy used one half and then just put a female connector on the other. def not factory. im picky bout rigged stuff like this. in your opinion should i try and get the whole harness or just the efi? if you think i need a whole harness where should i start looking? thanks

The EFI harness plugs into the ignition feed on the left inner fender. It has a connection to the battery at the starter relay and a ground at the battery negative. The harness is in two sections and passes through the firewall by the rear of the left valve cover. The EEC power relay is in there, the fuel pump relay is under the hood on the left side of the firewall under a cover. If the main harness going down the left inner fender looks good, then all you should need is the EFI harness.
