info help on radio controls

hey guys. i have a 06 f350 lariat. i have the fatory 6 disk changer in dash. i have been thinking about getting a after market head unit and ipdated speakers all around. my question is how can i install a new head unit and still be able to use the steering controls for volume and such.

next question is what size speakers are in the truck and what new speakers are you guys useing in this truck.

thanks

Some aftermarket units will work with your controls. It might take a adapter. I have 6.5 components in my 04 F250. The factory speakers are 5x7. I made a baffle to mount my 6.5s in the factory location & mounted the tweeters in the door panel.

Try looking up your vehicle at Crutchfield.com.

Check out Sonic Electronics & Woofers ECT too. They have a great selection & much better prices than Crutchfield. I've bought lots of gear from both sites

to make your steering wheel buttons work you need something like this

Steering Wheel Controls | Steering Wheel Adapter
