Can anyone vouch for quality of Rod Doors Headliner?
Hi All,
Will be to upholstery stage later this year on my 56 F100 small window truck build. Has anyone installed or had installed the Rod Doors headliner w/o rubber retainer and/or the Rod Doors OH console? Can you vouch for product quality and ease of install? How is the headliner held up-screws, clips?
I learned recently that Rod Doors is out of business but I have located a supplier that still has some inventory.
THX in advance

Biggest complaint about mine is the fit around the edges. It wasn't cut well (too short)so it definitely needs trimmed out to hide the gap. As far as installation it took about 5 minutes.
It is the one without the retainer. Has a couple of clips on the inside that go over the factory lip. I also have the interior light, factory speaker, and a couple of factory screws supporting mine in the center.

Here's a picture of mine in my '50. Overall, I've been very happy with my RodDoors interior. I used all their panels ... headliner, back, corners, kickboards... when I did my interior. You can see more in my gallery pics. Kinda pricey but sure made the job easy for a first-timer like I was then. It did need a little trimming on the sides to ensure a good fit. Also, mine is held up only with the duo-loc fasteners.... generally OK, but a screw or two in the middle would be better.
