I just was blessed with getting a Super Stroke f 450 from my company for work. It came stock with an am/fm radio, and im looking to upgrade to a stock cd player with aux in jack. It would be cheaper to go aftermarket, but my company wants me to keep it ford. Just curious if any model ford radio would be able to do the upgrade, or if someone has a list of "compatible" ford radios that would just plug and play into my nice new truck. Thanks for any help you guys can give me. Not exactly an expert in the electronics department. Thanks again
I see no reason that I need to cover the cost, but I'm sure the OP wouldn't mind $10 in shipping cost to get a factory radio at a reasonable cost....Guarantee that would be cheaper than purchasing a radio at his local dealer.
I'm not trying to speak for the OP, only speculating.
i would, but i dont even know if it will work without any extra connections or wiring or anything, that is most important to me, then i would work on the price of both the unit and the shipping.
I'm sure you could get the numbers off the radio and call your local dealer to verify fitment. With the model number to the radio and last 6 of the VIN to the truck, the dealer should be able to tell you for sure one way or the other.
I would be more than willing to pay for the radio plus the shipping, as long as i confirm that it will work in my vehicle. Could you give me the model number, so that i can call the dealership tomorrow and see if it is compatible please. Thanks
