Auction sale coming up on April 25. There is a 1962 Mercury Marauder listed. I haven't seen it yet so don't know what condition it is. Any comments would be appreciated.

VERY nice cars! Especially if they have the optional 405hp 406 Tri Power engine and 4 speed!
There was a great write-up in Motor Trend a while back, that is now on a website
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~stanchfi/...-roadtest.html

It is a convertible S-55, and also available is the 2 door hardtop in the S-55 configuration. It would be worth looking at, but me without money is just a tease...

Thanks for the reply. I went to the sale last Saturday, but car was a complete basket case. Didn't even have a motor or transmission.

It spent the last 20yrs or more sitting in the bush, 3 inch trees growing through it.

I did find some pictures on a web site, and your right, they where awesome cars. Later Dave

Awe, darn! What a shame that the precious iron was left to sit and rust for years... Well, at least you got to see it! Did anyone buy it?

It was realy heart braking to see that nice car in such a sorry state. It was a cold and windy day and I didn't stay to see it sell. Probably gave it away for scrap.

Hi Mil1ion
The sale was at Berrymoore which is east of Drayton Valley. The car had to have been there for at least 15 years.
