Hi.
Has anybody tried a Mike's 5 Star SCT S3 tuner or a F350 Super Duty?
I have a 2007 F350 4x6 Super duty with the 3v 5.4 , 5 Spd auto.
I have read several threads about this tuner but seems no one has used one on a truck like mine.
I runs fine but the best mpg. I can get is about 11mpg city.
I do some light towing (3500 lb. tool trailer) and was considering the following tunes if I get the SCT:

- 3v auto- 87 octane economy
- 3v auto- 87 octane performance/tow-haul
- 3v auto- 87 octane performance/tow-haul OD/5th lock out*


Any feedback or suggestions????

I just wanted to be sure it was worth dropping the $400++ on the tuner!

I encourage you to talk to Mike about the various profiles available to you. I see that he has greatly expanded the profiles since I purchased my SCT Livewire four years ago. I purchased mine with the following profiles:

87 Octane - Economy
89 Octane - Towing
93 Octane - Performance

I've only used the 93 Octane - Performance profile and LOVE IT! Ford greatly restricts the "drive by wire" settings from the factory but Mike's profiles eliminate these restrictions, which is one reason why you see great improvements in engine performance. Also, the SCT tuners can be updated at any time with new profiles. So, if you sell your F350 for a newer truck, you can continue to use your tuner and just have Mike email new profiles to you at a minimal cost. In short, it's the last tuner you will ever need to purchase.
