64 Ranchero compatibility Q's

Sorry for the noob questions here. I just inherited a 64 Ranchero and I'm new to how Ford developed the Ranchero line over the years. Does the 64 Ranchero/Falcon share the chassis with the 65 Mustang? Or driveline? Or Brakes?
Thanks for any help.

64-65 ranchero/ falcon and the 64-65 mustang use the same driveline and brakes. 6 cylinder will be 4 lug, V8 will be 5 lug.
the big difference between the 64 and 65 is that 64 used a generator and 65 used an alternator

There is no chassis. All there is...is a sub frame that the engine/trans bolts to.

1960/71 Ranchero's and all Mustangs from day one are unit bodies, the body and chassis is a one piece welded assembly.

1964 Falcon/Ranchero and 1965 Mustang before 8/23/1964 have a generator.

The steering wheels (Mustang different from Falcon), turn signal switch and horn mechanism are not the same as 1965 Falcon/Ranchero & Mustang after 8/23/1964, because these have alternators.
