89 5.8efi replaced with a 94 5.8efi?

I was hoping someone had some info on swapping out a 89 5.8efi for a 94 5.8efi. The truck is a 89 F250 3 speed a/t. The engine I hope to purchase from someone locally is out of a 94 F250 4 speed a/t. So my ?s are will the 89 ECM and fuel delivery system work? Im looking for a "plug and play" for the most part. Any input on this swap would be greatly appreciated.

I was also toying with the idea of purchasing the 4speed A/T any concerns I should have besides driveshaft length?

It will bolt in you may or may not have to change a few sensors but it should work just fine.

Dending on the trans, you may have ECM/wiring issues as wel as crossmember placement. Other trans issue would be if both are not the same drive design (2x4, 4x4) The motor will swap fine, as said, the layout of vacum hoses and sensors may change, but most of that is on the intake anyway and easy to see. The 94 is also a roller motor so bonus!

This is a direct swap as long as you don't use any wiring that comes with the donor motor and also use the flexplate currently on your truck. There will likely be differences with the smog system and possibly the accessory brackets but again as long as you use everything from your truck you should be fine.
