My F350 Brake Booster Upgrade from a '78 F250 4x4 C6 (already power brakes)

I upgraded my F250 booster to F350 Booster & Master cyl. today. My Booster was leaking so I decided to change it out with a F350 system. Ordered a reman Booster/Master combo for a '78 F350 460 auto w/o cruise from O'kragen's @ $107.99 before taxes.

Cardone Remanufactured 50-3311 - Loaded Power Brake Booster | O'Reilly Auto Parts

Everything just bolted up to my existing brackets. Brake lines needed to be cut, flared and have the correct ends put on; 1/4in for the front brake (large) reservoir and 5/16in for the rear. Don't forget to unplug your brake light switch or your lights will be on throughout the project.

Did the same upgrade to mine a few years back. Didn't really make much of a difference though.

Mark

I'm still laughing as I type.... Good way to start the day, Thank you! You are correct! It didn't make much difference except my truck is running much better without a huge vacuum leak.... I was going to update this thread this morning with that info now it's done

I'm thinking that for a drum brake system it would increase braking power. Thoughts?

Right there with ya Marc.. my brakes are very strong, and it takes very little pedal pressure, or throw to get quick strong response....

I noticed on both trucks that it reduced the pedal travel and felt more like it was "powered"
