MAF Computer

So I picked a parts truck (1994 f150, 2wd, MAF, 5.0, 4r70w) I didnt plan to use it for a mass air swap but its looking like since I have it I think I might do the swap. Swapping it into my 1992 f150 5.0 E4OD

My question is I know the tranny in the donor truck wont allow for a direct swap of the computer. But the wiring harness and sensor will work.

So then I looked here
Fuel Injection Technical Library » EEC Program Codes
and found these following computers with MAF and the E4OD.

CODE// ENGINE// VEHICLE// NOTES
HOG0// 5.0// BRONCO, F150-350// MAF/ E4OD/ F4TF-12A650-AAA

U4X0// 5.0// BRONCO, F150-350// MAF/ E4OD/ F4PF-12A650-AA

VEX1// 5.0// BRONCO, F150-350// MAF/ E4OD/ F5TF-12A650-HB
(California Truck) (Set to use 4:10 Gears)

WAY1 // 5.0// BRONCO, F150-350// MAF/ E4OD/ F5TF- 12A650-JB

BIO0// 5.8// BRONCO, F150-350// MAF/ E4OD/ F5TF-12A650-BYA
(California Truck) (Set to use 4:10 Gears)

AKCO// 5.8// LIGHTNING// MAF/ E4OD/ F5TF-12A650-NA

I have been doing some reading and I am hearing alot of talk about changing pins and adding new wires and taking some out. With these computers will they plug directly into the harness that I have from the donor truck or will I still have to cut and splice some things

I am thinking that the BIO0 computer or the VEX1 will be the best computers as I will eventually swap in 4:10 gears.

Basically how plug and play will this be if I acquire the E4OD compatible computer.

I know there is a bunch of threads out there on this. I have read about 20 of them and will continue to read them, but im still fuzzy and maybe someone can answer my question faster than it will take me to find it.

thanks for the help,
Kemp

All EEC-4 computers use the same 60pin connector so any box will plug in to any harness, the things you will need to work out are the differences between the MAF E4OD and 4R70w setup.. which will involve moving some pins around and either deleting or adding a pin or two depending what harness you are working with.

I think I worded my question badly. I already knew all the computers would hook up.

As far as the wiring harness is concerned how plug and play is it? Is it just the injectors that need to be resided to SEFI? Or is there more to it that I'm jot seeing?
