That joystick has multiple options... From steering to bow thruster it also works in conjunction with ball on the opposite side which is tied into auto-pilot and GPS.
My experience around the Navy sailor boys is you're supposed to call anything over 20' a boat. When you do, their pulse quickens, face gets all red, they start mumbling something about boats and ships and get all excited.
In other words, they must like it.
Hahaha. Not about size or above or below water.
It is how they lean when turning.
Yes it really is. Most expensive weekly rate in my fleet is $160,000 for the week, but I do require an additional 35% (advance provisioning allowance) to cover running cost.
There's a lot of money out there
I need to find some of that money-
How'd you get into that, anyway? Is it start small kind of thing or more of a right place at the right time?
Paradise side I think. We drove up to the visiting center and hiked from there. We had only planned a short trip and were supposed to meet up with my friends sister but we never found them. Turns out they were an hour ahead of us.
We mistakenly took the Ohanapecosh route put of Rainier so it took us 3 hours to get home vs 1.5...
I go up to Bonney Lake every August for a couple of weeks and we go on small trips from there. Been to both sides of Rainier and managed to take a wrong turn and wound up getting a little lost on the way home from Paradise a couple years ago, wound up in Puyallup. The good part was that we found a good Chinese buffet there with all-you-can-eat crab so we manage to hit that a couple times a year while we're up there. The last two years we've spent a few days on San Juan Island and last year we went crabbing while we were there, caught a nice mess of 'em. Doing it again this year.

Second pic is marmots on the Paradise side

I was in banking until age 44, by then I owned 2 yachts and basically retired.
I use to charter the hell out of my yachts and meeting other yacht owners that couldn't believe the amount of business I was getting for them. Over the years I've taken the fleet to 35 yachts starting at 54' up to 154' and have done the same for my owners. In the beginning I just wanted to maintain an income so I wouldn't live on savings the rest of my life.
I did change my lifestyle from the good old banking days, at 44 I lived in a multimillion dollar waterfront home (yacht in backyard). In order for me to retire 10 years ago I sold all the toys and that last home. Today, I live in a smaller home but it's totally paid for. Better than my $15,000 monthly mortgage I had lol.
We still travel a lot and I'm not into holding back on cars, restaurants etc.
These last few years have been crazy busy for me, my daughter is a full time med student and I forced my wife to drop her gig (interior decorator) 10 years ago. She only takes repeat clientele at this point. They both help me with accounting, contracts and coordinating with crew. I always deal with the owners and brokers.
I've always said here, it's very easy to make money in this great country of ours. If you want success and your healthy it's easy! You need to want it! Regardless what you do...
I can write a book based on my ride here, but I think you guys have an idea.
