Found a intake coolant leak while camping this weekend. Coming from the front left side of intake at the aluminum cross over. Added the Bars Leak and made it home without any further leaks.
If the intake is indeed cracked/broken, which is the best replacement manifold? Found the Dorman intake at Rockauto for under $200 and the Ford OEM at Partsguyed for $348.

What did you end up going with? I need a new intake manifold and don't know which to purchase.

 

Turns out it was just a bad gasket!
Pulled the manifold, replace gaskets and go...

 

I'm going to have to check for that with mine...glad everything worked out well for you.

 

i pulled the manifold and the rubber o-ring was blown out. The groove that the o-ring sets in was damaged by errosion. Thats in the plastic manifold. I filled the groove with epoxy, flied it smooth and installed a paper gasket like you would have done on a 1980 V8 351.
