How to De-smogify 83 Bronc with 300

I have a 83 Bronco with the 300 and 4 speed (np435) 1 barrel carb and AC. I have a set of exhaust manifold from a efi truck and I want to install them along with a decent flowing exhaust. In order to do that I am going to have to remove alot of tubes and hoses etc. from the egr to make them fit up. Thats fine by me and the air pump that is not even hooked by a belt can go as well. I do want to keep my AC functional though. So what all can hit the can to clean off my motor so I can see it? It runs great as is so I would kinda like to keep it going that way. will removing this stuff cause me issues? I dont think its a computer controlled carb if that matters. I had future plans of adding a better air intake and filter set up to try and pick up some better mileage. Thanks for any help

If it runs great....leave it alone.

X2, its a bit more than just unbolting everything and filling holes, your engine is tuned to run with all that emissions gear. remove it and you will be starting over...

If the air pump isnt being used get rid of it. As for the EGR, that honestly can't hurt to just hook it back up to the new EFI Manifolds. It may require some creativity but can be done.

If you can find a flexible pipe that can withstand exhaust temps, you can reconnect the EGR to the EFI manifolds. Or, if you have a pipe bender, you can create your own.
