Turbo Whistle To loud
Now that my truck is back together The turbo whistle is CRAZY loud. Right now I just have my 4" down pipe with nothing attached so its a very short exhaust. My question is does anyone have any idea of how much this will quiet once I run the 4" back? Is it going to change it significantly? I am only asking because im giong to go have my exhaust done and im wondering if I should have them put something in there to quiet the turbo whistle, but I want to keep the rapping. But the turbo can wake up the neighbors at the end of town. I can only imagine what my next door neighbors are going to do when I leave for work at 7. Whatcha guys think?

I like the sound dont get me wrong. I dont want to lose it. I just want to be able to hear the radio in the truck. lol i need to lose a little of the whistle it really is allotlouder than it was before. I think ill have him just strait pipe it and drive it around for a bit and then go talk to the neighbors and make sure im not waking them up or their kids.

I'm running an '03 engine with the factory exhaust (sort of) with only the kitty MIA. The whistle doesn't seem to bother my neighbors. The engine is louder than the whistle when the truck is at idle...and unless your neighbors are part canine I don't see the "scream" waking 'em up at 0700. You will be able to hear the vanes sweep when the truck is idling...and I can hear my radio just fine, even when I have the 5th wheel on the hitch and we're rolling 'em down the superslab. It's a rough life, but we try to get by.
