Ford f450 oil leak

I have a 2000 F450 with a Fontaine Conversion with the 7.3 and When it's running it pours oil off the motor by the starter, I pulled the inspection cover off the converter to look at the rear main seal but not it then I thought oil pan gasket but its not it either so now im wandering if theres anything else behind the flywheel that could be leaking since I cannot see up behind it... Any help on this situation would be so greatly appreciated!! Also, the oil is not running down the side of the motor or from the top, I just don't know what else is back there........ Thanks

The 7.3 liter has few weak spots that like to leak.
-dipstick tube mount
-oil cooler, but that is on driver side
-HP oil lines between the heads
-pedestal orings
-fuel leak from the drain valve orings
The first one is the closest one to the area you are describing.

Welcome to FTE. Triple check to make sure the oil is not coming from up on top of the motor. 99% of the oil leaks on the 7.3 come from the top, and most of those are o-ring related. Grab a flash light and look down to see if there are puddles of oil on top of the motor.

Yes like everyone says check the valley there are drain holes at the rear that make it look like everything is leaking back there. If the valley is dry then look to your turbo or EBPV (Exhaust Back Pressure Valve it is actuated with oil pressure ) Does it happen when its cold at start up or all the time , did it just start all of a sudden or was it one of those gradual leaks that got bad?

Thanks everyone, I found the leak, it turned out to be the sensor up front on the left head, had a bad o ring and it only leaked giving it throttle and not at an idle so I got me a helper and quickly found it and if I ever have another leak (I sure hope I don't!!) Your suggestions will be the very helpful I'm sure!
