5.4 manifold leak

Ok so my 2004 F250 that I just bought has the nutorious Exhaust Manifold leak on the passenger side. My Question is since I want to fix this are the headers offered for this truck worth the time and money to use instead of the stock manifold? And whose header works better quality wise etc?? Should I use Stainless Steel bolts in either case? Thanks in advance??

My manifolds went on my 08 @ 28k. If they were not covered I would have got the headers. I believe you can get ford headers (roush racing) for your truck, if not there are several others al will be better than oem.

Don't hold your breath on getting more input. Get the Gibson stainless steel ones and be done with it. Thats what i'm doing when these go.

When I did mine, I installed a set of JBA headers along with the SPD y-pipe. It was a noticeable seat-of-the-pants improvement in performance. Although, I can't say for sure what helped the most -- the headers or the y-pipe. My gut tells me the y-pipe.

Anyway, lots more info on mine here:

Good luck!

JBA was the other brand that I was trying to think of.
