I have always liked the sound of Magnaflows on diesels - almost like an older musclecar?
I cant stand the whooshing sound (leaf blower) - I like a deep rumble...

My correction... my buddy has a straight piped MBRP exhaust, with no muffler no cat no dpf... which is too loud in my opinion. I think with a any muffler it would sound a lot better.

Too loud? Hadn't heard one that was too loud. Maybe a 7.3 or a Cummins but not a 6.4. I'm running just a DPF/DOC delete now and am going to an aFe. I just don't like the airry sound and whoosh coming from the stock tips right now.

Like I said at the start, I didn't think mine was loud until I listened to my wife drive it away from the house and up a small hill. It is very loud, way louder than my 7.3l with an mbrp 4 inch exhaust. I leave for florida next week so I guess I'll see if I can find somebody down there to put something on the truck.

So why bother changing it if you never knew it was loud? for the people outside? who cares...

I know how you feel though. I never realized my truck was so loud (also deleted) until i had someone drive off with it. It is quite loud, but i think it sounds great. There is just so much air flow i feel that is all that is heard though. Also, at idle if you go on the exhaust side of the truck in the rear you really hear the air flowing!

I was considering doing what lots of people do, a big 4 or 5 inch tip! looks obnoxious but kinda cool!

Jus trying not to get thrown out of the neighborhood, or some RV park.
