New cap ordered

Just ordered cap for truck (on order) (this is getting expensive ordering stuff while I am waiting)

It's a Sungtop super sport. (never heard of them before) It has very large glass that will match the truck nicely. The cool thing is it has a remote unlock that also opens when you click it. You can also configure it so your truck key fits the lock. Very cool.

Ok, now on to see what else I can buy. I really want the lockpic but not sure I can install it. Will read up on those threads.

Good choice! You will like the Snugtop. It's a good quality and the lock system is nice instead of having the old style turn ***** with locks. I have a black one for my long bed F350. I'm planning on keeping it for the new one and I'm going to have my body shop re-paint it to match the tuxedo black.

Thanks for the reinforcement. It was more dollars than the rest but seemed worth it, thanks again. The fit and finish seemed better than the other choices.

Never thought about the re-paint option. Good call.

Have Snug Top Supersports on the F-350 and the Tundra. They are great caps. A BedRug really completes the package.

This one was more than I thought it would be. Pretty close to 3k for 8' bed.

Every time I see an SD with a snug top it makes me wish ford would make the excursion again. Those tops are very slick, they look great.

If you want to buy more stuff, I will never have a truck without an air system like a VIAIR 10007. Check them out.

How hard is that to install. Where does it go and where did you put the tank? I have always wanted an air system.

Has anyone heard of Underarmor?

I want the access to my bed but also want security that won't leak rain. You never know when you will need to haul something large so my choice will be removable. There is a local truck accessery store named Truckin Thunder and they recommended Underarmor. Instead of a cap I am looking at a hard lockable lid.

We all make these choices for different reasons. I'd like to start a chain to solicit recommendations for cap and lids!

I agree! The Excusion was an awesome vehicle. If they just use the 6.7........

I did some research as I wanted one over the F-250 but too many problems with the 6.0.

If you're talking about a hard tonneau, you're probably thinking of either the Undercover or the ArmorLid:

Hard Tonneau, Hard Tonneau Cover, Hard Tonno Cover, Hard Truck Covers, Hard Bed Cover For Pickup Truck - UnderCover Tonneaus

ArmorLid Hard ABS Tonneau Cover

I've got the Undercover and it's excellent.....plus it's made in the USA versus the ArmorLid being made in China.

You are correct, everyone has different needs. I have multiple trailers for the big stuff. I like the look of the cap and the covered storage.

I also like the look of a hard tonneau cover and had one on my old truck. The only problems came when we had to remove it 3 or 3 times during the year when we hooked up the 5th wheel. It was getting to be a pain in the ***, so I went with a Retrax retractable tonneau cover. Waiting to see how that is going to work out.

I've been loving my SuperSport. Word to the wise, however, is to make sure ALL of the glass is properly glued in! The entire bottom part of the glass along the passenger side of my top wasn't installed/glued properly and I had a severe leak along that side. Had to return the top to the dealer and let them get it sorted, which they did to their credit.
