Where to mount CB in Bronco
I have a CB that I want to install in my Bronco, actually I have about ten cb's that I've gathered over the years but the one that I picked to install is a Galaxy DX66V. It's a full size trucker's cb. I don't see any place under the dash where it would fit. The console is already taken up with amplifiers. I really want to mount it overhead but I don't know if I'd end up putting a screw through the roof. That would seriously p*** me off! Also the wire for the overhead light, I don't want to hit that. I don't know how it's routed. But I can't peel back the headlner to see what's going on in there because once you take this kind off you'll never get it put back on right and mine is perfect so I don't want to ruin it. My only other idea is to get one of those mounts that screws down to the floor on the transmision tunnel. But I really want it to go overhead, like in a big rig.
Any suggestons, and especially any pictures of cb's mounted in your Broncos would be very helpful.
Thanks!

Couple options... I installed a CB in an old truck I had from the headliner using the stock CB mount bracket. I pulled the front of the headliner down just enough for access. Punched two holes through the headliner with an awl and inserted two short stove bolts with large fender washers through the headliner through the bracket. Run the power and antenna cable along the headliner and doen behind the A-pillar. Never had any issues with the liner sagging as a result of the extra weight from the CB either. What I do now is... I made a "L" shaped bracket that the radio bolts to then the bracket will slide under the bench seat in a truck or in a Bronco's case, loosen up the bolts holding the console and slide it under then re-tighten the bolts.
