Mine took about 4 weeks from order to delivery. I can't complain about that at all, but it was painful being truckless for a month!

I hope mine only takes four weeks as well. Fortunately I haven't sold my other truck, just yet, so I'm good from that standpoint.

 

Quick update, talked with my dealer and my new truck hasn't been slated for production, dealer is still waiting confirmation from Ford. 4-weeks in and nothing. ARRRRGH!

I hope my jump to the "other side" is worth my wait.

The worst part is I told my "other" 4x4 and we are expecting snow.

 

Something's up....4 weeks in and it hasn't been assigned a VIN and a build date.
I think that there are priority assignments....a 1-10 rating. Check with your dealer on that so that they can maybe bump it up. Good luck

 

It took me 5 weeks to get a VIN and my dealer had plenty of allocation at the time, order was a (normal) priority 10. He called the local Ford rep, they had the bumped up to a priority 1 and 4 weeks later I was driving away in it.

Like snell said, find out what the priority is, usually dealers know what they're doing, but I've heard of some orders going in as a 99 (no bueno!). You could ask them for a copy of the DORA, it'll be on there. Plus if you have that in hand, you can confirm they're ordering exactly what you want and make any changes before it gets built.

 

I spoke with my sales manager....first of all I ordered my truck just before Christmas so there is a week in there that the Ford was shut down and nothing was done. I should be receiving an email copy of my DORA today so I can confirm everything, at which time I will be asking to have priority bumped up from the current level of 10.

I think the Ford plants around here were down for 2 weeks. The plant that make the rear end for the Super Duty's is right down the street from me, and I did not see any cars in the parking lot for those 2 weeks of the holidays. As a matter of fact, the gates were locked too which I have never seen before.

With this said, my truck could be another 2 to 4 weeks out!
