I just bought a brand new bed extender off a 2011 for my 2011 F250 CCSB and I haven't been able to figure out how to install it. The hole the bolts go in aren't threaded, but look like they may have some sort of cover over the threads. Is the insert in the hole a cover for the threads, or does the insert need to be tapped to take the bolts?
BTW This forum seems to move a lot more than powerstroke.org. Glad to be here.
Not sure about other 2011s but the holes for the extender are threaded in my truck. Bad thing is that the Line-X guys sprayed them so I'm going to have to address that when I get my extender.
If the holes aren't threaded, then simply remove the tail lights and install a washer and nut on the pivot studs from the back side. That is what I did for my wife's truck.
