have a 96 f250 4x4 5 speed manual shift. tranny and transfer case are worn out . have a really good option on a 99 f250 superduty 4x4 with 5 speed manual shift not sure of either class of tranny . would it be a concievable thought to swap the superduty tranny to my 96 ? 7.3 powerstroke engine in 96 and 5.4 in superduty. superduty is a wrecked truck

 

wrong bolt pattern on tranny.

how is the Tranny and tcase worn out? both units are really great products. I see zf 5speeds out of diesal trucks on craigslist all the time. I would be leary of buying a tranny out of wrecked truck. the case could be cracked

 

X2. When ford went to the "modular" engines they changed the bolt pattern.
