High Idling help please

I have a 95 F150, it idles high on start and takes about 2 mins to drop. I'm not sure why its doing this, just started doing it these past few months. If I take off before it drops, it likes to act like its going to die. I had the alternator replaced this past spring. Anything anyone can suggest would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Have you sprayed any ether around the intake? to check the intake gasket.

I agree with SCRebel. Also, some low buck attempts, grab some TB Cleaner and Q-Tips. Go to town on the EGR (I suggest not directly spraying diaphragm), IAC, and TPS. If the idle were staying high, I'd suggest cleaning the PCV Valve breathing tract (replacing the valve is a cheap, easy way to rule it out as well). Good luck.

Check for codes, then proceed accordingly. Sounds very much like a vacuum leak, but no sense throwing parts at the problem without checking for codes first.
