Cab Lights
#16
sgettin, We have been having the dually discussion on the 57-60 fridge section. Look at my post called 'way up firm and high'. It's right at the top. There are some basic reasons I wanted a srw truck with the dually wheels. I had to use a dually pu rear end to center the wheels in the fenders and anybody that's followed one knows that's a wide vehicle. About 6" wider than a factory cab/chassis or flatbed. If I were to build a dually out of that flareside truck I would have used a cab/chassis with dually rear end and cut out the fender wells in the bed. Then I would have only had to increase the rear fenders by 4". They make widened glass rear fenders for hot rods which might have worked. Anyways read the 'way up firm and high' post for more info. Here's a picture of the 53 F350 I sold last spring with the factory set up. Cropdusterman will want to note this truck came from a crop dusting outfit called 'farmers spraying service' in Minot ND. You can make out the airplane (aeronca) on the doors and the logo. Some sellers remorse involved Oh, and just to stay on subject, the cab lights on this one came from a harley aftermarket shop and have a curved base to fit the front fender of a harley with an orange lense. Sat real nice on the roof.
