Got an email from the management of the Forums here at FTE. God love em - their heart is in the right place and we got a great place to hang out and exchange ideas on (seriously, gotta love em) FORD Trucks, but COME ON!!! REALLY??
Here's the cut n paste from the email:

"Because of exceptional fuel economy and torque numbers, diesel engines are a mainstay in Ford's Super Duty lineup. So could we soon see a diesel option in the F-150? "

Look - I like my 6.4 as much as the next guy, specially since I tuned it, straight-piped it and made it sound like a hissing dragon.
And the thought of an F-150 that belches black carbon particulates on to the pavement is actually quite enticing.
But COME ON "exceptional fuel economy"??????

Love my 6.4 - even with its presently marginal fuel economy - but maybe some of you more experienced yoeman of the forums can help educate this young'n.

Certainly not class leading with the EPA running the show. But I think the trend is taking hold in cars again.

I do like my 6.4 though. And it does do better than my 06 with the 5.4 gas motor in it.

 

The content is of less concern to me than the fact that I got the email at all. Is FTE about to turn into just another spam bot and start bombarding us with all the advertisers latest drivel?
