SCT Question

Probably a dumb question but what is the difference between the SCT SF3 and the SCT X3?

the sf3 can load custom tunes and have the canned tunes as well but if you have custom tunes you wont need canned tunes

So the sf3 has more memory space (double) internal than the X3? If they were the same, they would only hold 3 tunes.....

So if I was to buy an SF3 it would be able to download the custom tunes with no problem even if it had the canned tunes in it? If not can I delete the canned tunes to make way for the custom tunes? Sorry new to the tuner thing

I am also new to the tuner thing. really really new. i just bought my first diesel and iit has the egr delete done and i want to get rid of the CEL. it reads egr flow insufficient. what are the other reasons for tunes. and which tuner would be the ideal one to get? right now i just want to get rid of the light. im sure in the future when i understand more i will want more. and do custom tunes cost money? or can they just be downloaded? i honestly have no clue what they are or due i am sorry for the ignorance ahead of time.

no the canned tunes will stay on the tuner but there is a section for custom tunes so they can be downloaded. as for the next guy you will want an sct its the only way to get rid of the code and you will want an SF3 since it has the canned tunes and you can turn off the egr which in turn will shut off the light after you delete the code. yes custom tunes cost money but are well worth the money!!! we all were new to this at one point so no need to be sorry thats what we are here for!!
