Will an 11" clutch fit, a 10" clutch application?

Just was wondering if it would fit...

I'm needing to drop and fix a lotta things in my tranny and had this pop into my mind...The 11" would provide more surface area, and have less slippage..

Just a thought...

Seems like most flywheels are drilled to take both 10in and 11in. Once you get a look at the flywheel you will soon see if the bolt holes are there for the 11in pressure plate.

Every flywheel since the early 80's is drilled for both sizes. I did it my my F-150 with the T-18, let us know how it works with your M5od.

It was a curiousity really, but I found a 11" kit, for the 10" price...And frankly, its a TON easier to find a v8 setup, than a I6...LOL

Is there a lighter flywheel option?

I'm not sure what you mean... clutches aren't engine-specific. If anything, they're transmission specific because of the splines on the input shaft.

Most places I've looked, simply asks if its a 10 or 11 inch unit, a 4 or 5 speed, and what engine...Thats all....

One of those "Misewell" syndrome things....lol
