Rear end resistance?

hey guys, I'm having some sort of problem with my rear end in my 92 f250. It seems to be giving some resistance when i'm driving, but not enough to cause a big problem. I can still drive 75 on the highway, but when i let off the gas i slow down a lot faster than i used to.
I'm pretty sure its not the brakes, because when i get out and touch them they aren't hot at all.
The diff gets pretty hot after I drive on the highway a bit, but according to what i've read thats pretty normal.
the only thing i can think of is wheel bearings, but that seems unlikely because i had the whole rear end rebuilt less than 2 years ago.
could a seized u joint in the driveshaft cause this?

any other ideas?

any help is appreciated.

Have you checked the gear lube level lately? Yes a bad u-joint can also cause more drag on the drive-train.

i forgot to mention that i checked the fluid in the diff right when it started happening. It took a little fluid, but didnt solve the problem.

Just gonna be one of those things to break down.

Jack up rear end, spin wheels with truck in neutral. Free or Not? Disconnect drive shaft. Spin Free? etc....

Most times what you describe is brake related. Also if 4x4 check that the front hubs are unlocked.
