dont worry about getting a new one budd.

Pull it off the motor and clean it out with gas.

its a PITA to clean, and will hold a lot of dirt.

let me post some pictures.

I was bored one day and took mine apart after cleaning it with gas.

Cleaned it again in gas in a pan and still got oil out of it.

The vapors from the crank case gather in the filter and clog it up.

No real way past it, thats why you get oil in your intake boot.
When its clean, the turbo will pull the vapors out of the crank case and will stop the dipstick tube smoke.

I got mine vented to atmo right now, so its a lot better, but i'll still get smoke out the tube if I pull the dipstick while its running.

I've actually had mine clog enough to pop the dipstick tube out.

I was cleaning it once a month before I vented to atmo, now it just forces the gas out naturally instead of pulling them from the motor.

Stays a lot cleaner.

I don't suggest pulling yours apart though, its more of a pita than anything.
But if you clean it, use a bucket and soak it good.
It will make some good 2 cycle fuel. haha.
(dont use it though in a 2cycle motor please)

If you go to do the dipstick fix be carefull in that the reciever end peice can fall inside the pan if your not carefull.

In this post thats what he used the needle nose vise grips for holding that in place.

just fixed mine the other day. took the CCV out blowed into it and it feels no resistance, so did not do a gasline clean. started the engine. while watching the smoke goes straing up out of the dipstick hole and the filler openning, put my hand over the intake partially blocked it to generate vaccum. smoke stopped immediately. Put everyting back together, making sure so vacum leak at all the junctions. No more smike in the cab now. I guess that mine has a vaccum leak. Erwin

I may go ahead and pry it apart since dealer wants "185 special order dollars" for it,WOW,proud of that little bast---,also parts guy said 95's didnt have felt seal on dipstick it just capped over tube like mine,me only direction here is either try to clean it or dump it to atmosphere.

you probably have to order the whole dip stick for that gasket or make your own and mine has a little smoke out of it when you take it out

Wonder if this is a side effect of the reduced resistance of the 6637 over the stock air box setup. If the 6637 is easier to draw air through, it would produce less of a vacuum on the intake than the stock air box would.

The way its miss-designed doesn't pull much of a vacuum to begin with.

It's really half assed.

It would work better if properly done, but I'd rather not pull oil gasses into my turbo and oil that up. What a mess it makes!

You can pull a stronger vacuum from the exhaust when done properly.
Thats my long term plan, but I have not got there yet.
