Diesel Oil Fitler vs. Gasser Oil Filter

is there a difference between an oil filter intended for a diesel app and one intended for a gas engine app? can i hurt a diesel engine by running a gasser filter?

Yes, there is a difference, flow rate, filtration specs are different.

the vehicle in question is actually my dads diesel tractor. don't worry guys, i would never take the chance on my truck
