I noticed the cable was off the actuator hook of my (drum) parking brake on the left side. The assembly seemed very sloppy with lots of side to side play around the shoe pivot. The actuator arm looks like it makes a scissor movement, but is frozen up. It also seems to sit very sloppy in the dust cover like a seat is missing. Does it just poke through the slot in the dust cover and boot and just slide back and forth against the cover? Should the actuator be free to pivot in a scissor motion?
